GOALS
As a hub of digital intelligence, the SMART Museum will provide residents with an exhibit space, and podcasting rooms furnished with the latest technologies available. Visitors will be encouraged to explore curated digital and hands-on content. Ever wanted to take a design from a drawing to a 3D-printed object? How about creating your own podcast? We've got you covered! Maker studios will be available to reserve.
The SMART Museum will increase the range of career exploration and training opportunities available for students and adults using virtual reality rooms. Here, students will have access to VR for recreational play and career development. These VR experiences will provide pathways to local educational institutes and career centers such as Texas Work Force, Killeen Independent School District, Texas A&M, and Central Texas College.
Programming at the SMART Museum will focus attention on how different human interactions can impact the various environments at nearby Nolan Creek. Citizen Scientists will be given the opportunity to participate in environmental labs where sampling research of the water, soil, and air can be performed. Workshops on topics such as hydroponic gardening and sustainable living will be made available in our Naturalist Meeting Room.
